“In two states in the country, minimum-wage earners have to work more than 100 hours a week to earn a decent living. In Virginia and Hawaii, minimum-wage workers need to work 103.2 and 110.7 hours, respectively, to make a living wage, according to a report released Tuesday by Alliance for a Just Society, a coalition of progressive organizations focused on economic justice.
